NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)

The Redevelopment Commission of the Town of Fortville, Indiana, pursuant to IC 36-1-11-4.1, is accepting proposals as of the date of the publication of this notice for the sale and use of the real property located at 124 E. Staat Street, Fortville, Indiana (Former Ayers House / aka Hughes Funeral Home).

Proposals should describe and will be considered primarily based on: the proposed use(s), preservation approach, design vision, financial plan, developer qualifications, community benefits, and timeline. Proposals should include evidence of financial responsibility.

In accordance with IC 36-1-11-4.1, the sale of the property will be subject to a leaseback with an option to repurchase the property. In addition, the use of the property will be subject to a parking easement or lease in favor of the Town.

A proposal submitted by a trust (as defined in IC 30-4-1-1(a)) must identify each beneficiary of the trust and each settlor empowered to revoke or modify the trust.

Proposals should be submitted in writing on or before Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
